1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using MakeItLast ("the Service") at makeitla.st, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

MakeItLast is a goal-setting and accountability platform that allows users to:

  • Create and track personal and professional goals
  • Share goals publicly for accountability
  • Connect payment providers to track revenue-based goals
  • Build a public profile showcasing your progress

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use the Service, you must create an account using either Google OAuth or email authentication. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account and any activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Username

Your username must not infringe on any trademark, be offensive, impersonate others, or violate any laws. We reserve the right to reclaim usernames on behalf of businesses or individuals that hold legal claim to those names.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 One-Time Payment

Access to MakeItLast requires a one-time payment of $5 USD. This grants you lifetime access to all current and future features of the platform.

4.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely by Dodo Payments. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.

4.3 Refunds

Due to the digital nature of our service, all sales are final. However, if you experience technical issues that prevent you from using the Service, please contact us at kalash@makeitla.st and we will work with you to resolve the issue or provide a refund at our discretion.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you create on the Service, including goals, updates, and profile information. By making content public, you grant us a license to display it on your public profile.

5.2 Content Guidelines

You agree not to post content that:

  • Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Contains malware, spam, or phishing attempts
  • Impersonates any person or entity
  • Violates the privacy of others
  • Contains false or misleading information

5.3 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable, without prior notice.

6. Payment Provider Integrations

6.1 Third-Party Services

The Service allows you to connect third-party payment providers (Stripe, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Dodo Payments) to track revenue-based goals. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service.

6.2 API Keys

When you provide API keys for payment providers, you authorize us to access your revenue data solely for the purpose of updating your goal progress. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share this data with us.

6.3 Data Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to accurately sync revenue data, but we do not guarantee the accuracy of data retrieved from third-party services. You should verify important financial data directly with your payment provider.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality are owned by MakeItLast and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAKEITLAST SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
