Orkas is an open-source desktop workspace for turning project materials into reports, documents and presentations. For example, you can bring in a brief and reference files, then ask Commander to coordinate specialist AI agents on an analysis and an editable report. The project keeps the work and its context together so you can review the results and continue from earlier drafts.

Project memory, the Library and reusable skills help you work with existing source materials across tasks. ImageStudio and VideoStudio are integrated tools for creating related visual and video assets. Files and results are stored locally by default; using external models or services may send data to their providers.

Orkas runs on Windows and macOS, and its source code is released under the MIT license. The core application is free. You can connect a supported provider with your own API key or use Orkas-managed models; model usage and optional services may have separate costs.
