Intervals timed like a zurkhaneh session: every call by voice, screen off

In the zurkhaneh, Iran's house of strength, nobody watches a clock. Athletes work in the pit - heavy clubs, push-ups on the board, the bow, the whirling - while above them the morshed keeps the session from his platform: a goblet drum under one hand, verses on his lips. Every change of exercise, every shift of tempo, arrives as sound. The pahlavans keep their eyes on their form and follow the drum.

Intertakt borrows exactly that job. Voice and beep cues call your rounds over your own music, each at an independent volume - the count-in, the halfway mark, the end of rest - so the phone can go face-down or into a pocket from the first call to the last. Interruptions change nothing: a call comes in, the session holds, and resumes from the exact second it left, the way the drum never loses the beat for a visitor at the door.
